| On
Track With The eXpress
By Bruce Logue
The
Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce Business
eXpress launched it’s first issue
last month, and we got good reviews from
our readers. We consider it to be a work
in progress so you can expect to see additions
and changes to the eXpress as it matures.
This
month we are beginning a regular marketing
column. Alan Schoff, Jennifer West, and
Tim O’Neil will be regular contributors
to this column, and they will write about
ways to improve your business outreach through
marketing. These are well-read, knowledgeable
people with great things to share.
Mike
Conway and Frank Quintero from the City
of Merced will be sending us regular articles
about business from the City’s perspective.
They have some exciting and encouraging
things to share, and we look forward to
what they will be sending us.
eXpress
will also feature an article from one of
our political representatives each month.
We’ve asked them to write about business
issues that are important to them. Jeff
Denham is our writer this month and the
first to respond to our invitation.
There
are a number of other contributors that
we have asked to write articles. In this,
and future editions, we will be hearing
from the UC, the Business-Education Alliance
of Merced County, Merced County Economic
Development Corporation, Junior Leadership
Merced, and a host of others agencies, businesses,
and non-profits.
We
hope that eXpress will be a useful and engaging
publication that will give you good ideas
for growing your business. Very soon we
will have an advertising structure for eXpress,
and for a small fee you will be able to
advertise your business.
We
welcome your suggestions for xPress. We’d
love to know what kind of information would
help you with your business. We will find
people who have expertise in those areas
to write articles. For example, in future
issues we will have articles about writing
a winning resume and writing a business
plan for your company.
We
would also like to grow our subscription
list. Please feel free to send a copy to
fellow employees and owners. Jennifer Krumm
at the Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce
will also be happy to add anyone requesting
it to our mailing list. Subscribers will
not be added without their request.
We
hope you enjoy Business eXpress. We think
it will be another way for you to gain benefits
from your membership in the Greater Merced
Chamber of Commerce. |
